Coaching Staff
Camp Director - Ken Peralta

San Francisco 49er 2010 High School Coach Of The Year, Ken Peralta is a teacher and Football Coach at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, California. Marin Catholic finished 13-2 in 2010, won the NCS D-3 championship in 2010 and played for the California State D-3 Championship in 2010. Coach Peralta transitioned to the Freshman Head Coach for the 2011 season but has left the program in the very capable hands of Mazi Moayed. In 7 seasons at MC Coach P's teams played for four section championships (winning two), won four league championships and made the section semi-finals in two out of the remaining three years. Coach Peralta brings over 25 years of coaching experience to Norcal Football Camps . “Coach P” began his career in 1981 at Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco. His coaching stops have taken him to the great states of Washington, Kansas and New Mexico. He has coached football at six high schools, one junior college and one four-year college. Coach P has coached with the Oakland Raiders at their summer Youth Skills Camp and has been the Director of the NFL Junior Player Development Program in San Francisco and in Marin County. At camp he will work with the offensive and defensive lines.
Backs Coach - Mazi Moayed
Coach Mazi Moayed is the Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Marin Catholic High School. Coach Maz is the the new Head Coach at MC and the architect of the Wildcat defense during MC's championship run in 2010. Coach Maz brings a vast knowledge of football technique and strategy to Norcal Football Camps. Coach Mazi began his coaching career at Novato High School and has also coached at Berkeley and San Rafael High Schools. He is known throughout our area as a leader in teaching young people the fundamentals of the game while instilling in players the desire to compete and execute their skills with effort and intensity. Coach Mazi will work with the defensive backs and running backs.
Quarterback/Receivers Coach - Phil Ferrigno

Coach Phil Ferrigno teaches PE and is the Head Football Coach at Lincoln High School in San Francisco. Coach Ferrigno has built the Lincoln football program into an AAA powerhouse and guided the Mustangs to five consecutive City Championship games - where his Mustangs have won four Championships (an AAA record). Coach Ferrigno is also a 4 time AAA Coach Of The Year winner. Coach Ferrigno is known for his ability to teach quarterback and receiver play. He will teach our campers how to excel both on the field and off.
Linebacker Coach - Trent Herzog

Trent Herzog is the Head Football coach at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma. In his inaugural season as head coach his team compiled an 11-2 record. On top of his head coaching duties at Casa Grande, Coach Herzog has vast experience as the defensive coordinator at Casa Grande and will help with that side of the ball at camp. Coach Herzog and his staff will help make your child's experience at camp a positive and memorable one.
Defensive Backs/Running Backs Coach- Rich Sweeney

Rich Sweeney has 30 years of coaching experience, 24 of which has been at the college level. Rich is the Defensive Line and Special Teams coach at Humboldt State University. Coach Sweeney is a defensive specialist having coordinated defense at three scholarship colleges/universities. Coach Sweeney's team set a small college football record for fewest points scores (13 in ten games), that still stands today. Coach Sweeney is one of the the best teachers of the technical sides of football in our great country. Coach Sweeney will work with DB's & RB's.
Backs Coach - John Richter

Coach John Richter is one of Marin Catholic High School's Varsity football coaches. Coach Richter understands the needs of young football players. He is a very successful former head coach of Marin Catholic's JV and freshman teams. With over 15 years of experience coaching football, Coach Richter will work with the running backs and defensive backs.
College Player Coaches
Norcal Football Camps also employs current college football players to add a real time, real life experience to our campers. Marin Catholic High School has numerous alumni playing college football. Many of these young men return home for a portion of the summer and want to “give back” some of the positive experiences they had while playing as a youngster. Players from UCLA, Hawaii, Cal Poly, Chapman University, Portland State, St. Johns University, Western Illinois and Northern State joined us at Norcal Football Camps. MC alumni who play in the NFL also have been know to show up at our camp.
